Property Description

At Backroads Reservations, we strongly believe in offering quality and interesting vacation cabins at a reasonable cost. The Crazy Horse Cabin at the Bandera Stronghold is a prime example of that! For your next Hill Country getaway, pamper yourself in this cozy, yet luxurious, creek side cabin that's just minutes from the fun of the Medina River and the shopping and night life of downtown Bandera-the Cowboy Capital of the World!

The intimate size of the space here makes the Crazy Horse Cabin a Bandera accommodation that's ideal for couples seeking that perfect hideaway. The elevated cabin overlooks a beautiful creek that's right behind it. The property is set in a beautiful rural setting, perfect for nature lovers-and as a bonus, the Hill Country State Natural Area is only a 15-minute drive away. You won't be too isolated, though, with Bandera's events and attractions just down the road.

The spacious deck wraps around most of the cabin, and you can admire the surroundings in the hot tub there-it's a great spot for stargazing! Take a swim in the creek, coast on the water with the provided floats, try your hand at some catch-and-release fishing, or scope out the birds and wildlife that visit the property. There's a charcoal grill for your use here, and hot tub and/or swimming towels and biker rags are also provided. Speaking of which, the surrounding roads are perfect for a scenic tour of the Hill Country! Pets are welcomed here, but please keep them leashed and don't leave them unattended at any time during your stay. Smoking is allowed, but outside only.

Rustic hardwood floors highlight the cabin's interior, and the space is outfitted with central air and heating for your comfort. There's a queen-sized bed, and a single roll-away can be made available upon request to sleep up to three people. The full bathroom has a shower and tub combo, and the kitchen is equipped with cooking appliances, fridge, cookware, cutlery and serving ware. Coffee and tea are complimentary, as are all bed and bath linens. Tech-wise, there's a TV with DVD player, radio with CD player, and the area has good AT&T cell service.

This cozy cabin rental knocks it out of the park with amenities, views, and proximity to the best the Hill Country has to offer. Give yourself that well-deserved break! We'd be happy to get started-give Backroads Reservations a call!

This little cabin in the woods is just what my husband and I needed. It was clean and just so sweet. We will for sure come back to this little piece of heaven again. We enjoyed the hot tub every night to relax before bedtime. Love this cabin!!!

We had the most amazing weekend at crazy horse cabin! I think our dog Miles had the most fun of all ❤️ At one point he even had a little camp buddy in the owners chiwennie, Mocha. The creek was awesome mucky at the bottom but running nice and clear, bring water shoes. We can’t wait to go back to this little shangrila ❤️

This was just the off the grid retreat I needed. The hosts were great and the view was spectacular.

We had a perfect trip with our dogs. We swam, caught a huge catfish (and threw him back), saw a huge buck the second morning while sipping coffee in the hot tub on the back deck overlooking the creek. The cabin is built up on blocks and it gives it a great treehouse vibe. Large pecans shade the entire area. The host brought us trash bags quickly after we ran out. We will be back!

The living space was very clean and well organized. The scenery and wildlife were abundant. However, there is no indoor lounge area or covered exterior lounge area. Typically not an issue for this setting but it rained during our stay! The bed is only a full - not a queen. The AC is a wall mount style and not central heat/air. As long as you are comfortable with these warnings, this is a great place to stay! The hosts were very close but did not interrupt our stay. We had a great time swimming in the creek and even hung out with visitors at a nearby cabin. Thanks & GIG EM!

Wow! This place was amazing. My husband and I needed a romantic, weekend getaway and this met our expectations (and more). Very clean, just the right amenities, the space was adequate for my husband, myself, and our Corgi (love that it is pet friendly). It also had a hot tub. Just imagine under the twinkling night stars... just beautiful. The creek was just below the deck and the scenery was very peaceful. I have already recommended this to my family and friends. We cannot wait to go back!
