Museum Description

500 million years of natural life are represented in fascinating exhibits at the Bandera Natural History Museum! Visitors can explore over 100 full-body animal mounts, artwork from all over the world, and educational play stations that teach all about our natural world. You’ll even find Trixie the triceratops from the “Night at the Museum” movies here! Works from the New Spain Art period (1521 to 1820) are now on permanent display (this gallery is considered separate from the main museum; an added charge applies). Finally, native plants on the grounds attract birds and butterflies for a vibrant living display!
