J. Marvin Hunter, the founder of Bandera’s Frontier Times Museum, believed if an artifact was important enough to be donated, it deserved to be exhibited. His philosophy has made the museum a thorough and eclectic walk through the history of Bandera County. This fascinating collection of cowboy curiosities, historic displays and oddities explores every facet of the frontier life in loving detail; you’ll be amazed at the historical stories of the pioneer era these exhibits have to tell! Every fourth Sunday, the museum hosts the Frontier Times Jamboree! The museum also is home to one of the most unique gift shops in Bandera!
