Just northwest of Boerne you’ll find City Lake Park, on a section of Cibolo Creek that was originally dammed to control flooding in the area. The park has grown to be a popular recreation spot in the Hill Country, fully equipped for fishing, grilling, wildlife observation, and boating! There’s a playground for the kids, a convenient boat dock, a volleyball court, and even a 9-hole disc golf course. Admission to the Boerne City Lake Park is free for Boerne residents, and $10 per carload for non-residents Monday to Thursday; Friday to Sunday, the fee is $15, and $20 on holidays. The park is open 5 AM to 10 PM every day.
