Founded in 1987 in Boerne, Carousel Antiques & Fickle Pickles became locally famous both for its antique and gift selection and unique pickle recipes; the latter even earned founder Billie A. Shaw the nickname “The Pickle Lady!” Fickle Pickles has expanded to five stores in central Texas, but the Boerne shop is the first, loaded with fascinating finds as well as amazing pickles. Their website is loaded with recipes and online shopping, but you owe it to yourself to check out this eclectic shop in person when you’re visiting Boerne! They’re open Monday to Saturday 10 AM to 5 PM, and Sunday noon to 4 PM.
