Museum Description

In 1854, Ferdinand Herff settled near what would become Boerne, as one of the first Europeans to plant roots in the region. His majestic homestead, lovingly maintained by the Cibolo Center for Conservation, is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Not only can you learn about the Hill Country’s rich history here, but there are also trails to explore, and special events (such as live entertainment) for folks of all ages! The historic heritage of Herff Farm is open to visitors Saturdays from 9 AM to 1 PM between March and December, and there’s also a Farmer’s Market featuring the wares of several local vendors.
