When it was developed in the late 1990s, Northrup Park in Boerne was originally designed to house regulation playing fields for local youth and adult baseball and softball leagues. It still serves that purpose, but now it’s also a fun and family-friendly space for locals and visitors alike to enjoy! The park features picnic areas with built-in charcoal grills, a covered and fenced-in playground, and even horseshoe pits (bring your own along)! They’ve also got basketball and sand volleyball courts that can be rented for an additional fee. Northrup Park is open seven days a week, year round, from 5 AM to midnight.
