Description

Back in 1923, a monument was erected in what was then known as Military Plaza in Boerne, to commemorate the soldiers from Kendall County who died in service to their country during World War I. Over the years, plaques have been added to honor those who passed in other conflicts, including World War II, Korea, Vietnam, and the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. In 2014, the Walk of Honor was added, which is a wide walkway adorned with bricks engraved in honor of past and current military members. All are welcome to visit and reflect at this solemn spot; Boerne's Veterans Plaza can be visited 365 days a year, from 6 AM to 10 PM.
