Description

On the southwest edge of town, there are 126 wooded acres on the Medina River known as the Castroville Regional Park, where visitors can relax and unwind! The park includes facilities for basketball, tennis, volleyball, hiking, and swimming—there’s even a swimming pool available for seasonal use for a reasonable fee. Enjoy a fresh-air BBQ in the covered picnic areas, and visit the “Garden of Roots,” dedicated by the people of the Alsace region of France as a gesture of friendship. Admission is free, but there is a $5 fee per picnic table used. Leashed pets are welcome. Please check their website for seasonal hours.
