What started in 1986 as two acres has since expanded to over 150, with 19 varieties of quality wine grapes in the Texas countryside. Newsom Vineyards’ tasting room in historic downtown Comfort gives visitors a chance to taste the great wines that come exclusively from those Texas grapes, in the wonderful setting of a century-old farmhouse. You can sample a selection of their white and red varieties, which rotate with the seasons—and take a bottle or two home, of course! Newsom Vineyards’ Comfort tasting room is open Monday through Sunday; stop by for a satisfying sip of some of Texas’ best wines!
