Description

Back in 1949, a dozen rural school districts surrounding the northern side of San Antionio (including Helotes) combined to form the Northside Consolidated School District. Housed in the historic Leon Valley School eight miles southeast of Helotoes is the Northside School Museum, which celebrates both the indivdual schools and the influence the district has had on education in the Lone Star State since its inception. Visitors are invited to stop by and learn the fascinating history of one of the fastest-growing school districts in Texas! The Northside School Museum is open 9 AM to 10 PM Monday through Friday.
