Park Description

This used to be a ranch back in the day, but the Hill Country State Natural Area now serves not only as a preservation site for its ecosystem, but also as a beautiful place to visit and discover! Its 5,300-plus acres include miles of trails that wind through it, suitable for hiking, mountain bike riding, and exploration on horseback, as well. If you’re going on foot, boots are recommended, since some of the terrain can be rugged—but the astounding views you’ll see are worth the trip! Hill Country State Natural Area is open daily year round from 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, and admission is $6 for adults over 13.
