Description

Leakey is the county seat of Real County, and the story of its people and places is told at the Real County Historical Museum! Most of the fascinating artifacts were donated by local residents, giving the museum a strong sense of local history and authenticity. Time periods covered here range from ancient Native Americans to a log cabin parlor from the pioneer era. Their store also includes books that trace Real County’s history and heritage in great detail. The museum is open Friday and Saturday 10 AM to 2 PM from March to Mid-December, and admission is $1 for adults 13 and over, and 50 cents for kids under 13.
