We were looking for a place to spend some quiet time social distancing, and we wanted access to the river. This place had it all and so much more. The location of the property is just perfect with the Medina River running through the backyard. The kids made friends with a duck and tried to fish. It was the cleanest coldest water I’ve ever seen. The house is so roomy! The pictures don’t do it justice. All the furniture is super cute. The place is spotlessly clean, there are plenty of towels and the kitchen is well stocked. Add the grill in the back porch and you will have everything you need to have a great time. We also enjoyed the wildlife: deer in the mornings and evenings, armadillos, ducks, goats, hawks, beautiful birds, but magically no mosquitoes. We brought our yoga matts and did yoga under the trees in the mornings. And to top it all off there is a place right across the street that sells the best pies in Texas. What else could you ask for?

Granny Smith's was a wonderful little cottage to stay in during our visit. It is such a quaint and peaceful property located on the river. We were in town for a wedding, and it was a quick visit but we wish we would have had more time to explore the area. It's a short drive to Kerrville and Bandera for eating and shopping. The area is so beautiful. Susie had everything we needed at the house for a great stay. The house was perfect for my husband, mom, three kids & myself. The only thing that would have made our trip any better was a rocking chair on the porch! :) Hope to visit again soon!

We really enjoyed this weekend away from the busy city. The home is quaint and very nice inside, and the wood floors give it warmth. All kitchen appliances worked and so we were able to do cooking easily. The back porch looking out across a large grass and tree area, heading down to the creek was most wonderful. Very enjoyable for 2-4 people. Looking forward to staying again sometime in the future!

Beautiful little house with all the amenities needed for a vacation to get away from the city. Comfortable living room, large dinning room, and everything needed to cook in the kitchen or on the grill. Be ready to unplug. No WIFI except at the coffee shop down the road (short walk). No Version service and on the edge of AT&T. It has a lot of back yard to walk, see wildlife and stream fish. Randy
