Beautiful nature surrounds the little house. The home is restored from 1920’s with original beadboard and windows. Very comfortable and fully stocked. Second visit and we love it! Beautiful part of Texas

This place is magical and a hidden gem in Texas Hill Country. You get exactly what you see and more! Pictures don't do this place justice. Sandy and Susie really have made the little house a perfect getaway with an abundance of wildlife to see and such a nicely curated property! Loved every second of our short trip. Will be back as soon as possible! Thank you! read less

We had an amazing time at this cabin. It is not just a beautiful cabin in a beautiful location. It’s also a gift. Of peace. The love and care that went into creating this cabin is evident. The deer, the hummingbirds, the gorgeous views. Just incredible. No need to ever leave the cabin. Thank you Susie. Can’t express how much we enjoyed our stay. We are already planning our next trip. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.

This place is magical. This was our 2nd stay in less than a month. It was absolutely perfect again. It has all the amenities you could need and more. We cooked out, hung out on the porch and watched all the wildlife. I highly recommend this place! We will be back very soon.

This place is incredible!!! My husband and I decided to do a country getaway and this place was above & beyond what we imagined. There is so much we loved: the beautiful land (sitting on the front porch in rocking chairs never got old!), cute decor, cows and deer always roaming, feeding the hummingbirds, watching sunsets, thoughtful touches from the hosts, and cleanliness. When we weren’t exploring the ranch we visited Utopia Park, Garner State Park, and even Fredericksburg/Enchanted Rock. There are also a few local restaurants that were really good too. Susie & Sandy are very sweet & personal hosts and truly care about this home and their guests. We loved that the house has history and a story behind it. It makes it even more special!

The setting was spectacular and the house was stocked very well, everything you could possibly want or need. Sitting on the front porch took us back to a century ago and the views were like the best from old western movies. We loved how the house was decorated and especially loved the old original windows! Oh, and those Live Oaks (or Spanish Oaks?) in the yard have a mysterious quality and will forever be in my memories. We will be back!
The drought is unfortunate and can't be helped. But we both felt there should have been some mention of the lack of water in the creek, since the pictures showed such a nice spot to enjoy the water. But this did not detract from the experience at the house, since the creek is a short walking distance from it.
